Saratoga Springs, NY: Old Time America Preserved 5 rating By Anonymous ( May 14, 2018) Even though I've lived in Saratoga Springs for years, I still feel the magic is somehow fresh every day. Even though I live here, I also can feel I'm getting an escape here. It's easy on the eyes—idyllic streets lined with colorful flowers and beautiful trees, huge old Victoria ...Read More n style homes, porch swings, American flags everywhere. It almost feels like stepping back in a time machine around here to a time when America was a gentler, more decent place.

We're famous for the local race track, a famous old hot spring that is now a spa, and quaint bed and breakfasts. Many elements are here for creating a boutique type experience: lots of unique shops owned by craftspeople, locally owned resturants, art galleries and historical tours. I love to visit the local parks and gardens. The town puts a lot of effort into maintaining them nicely.

I love music so I am also very pleased to be near the SPAC amphitheater (Saratoga Performing Arts Center). We get hundreds of national and international touring artists every year here. Read Less
