Safe area to raise your family User Rating 3.5 rating By BeenEverywhere ( Jan 08, 2015) This is a great, safe area to raise your family! Pretty good weather when comparing to other states I've lived in. Neighbors keep up with their homes or hire someone who does the work for them. They aren't the friendly outgoing type for the most part, but that doesn't bother me. ...Read More The downfall is the cost of living here. You pay for this nice, safe neighborhood. The only nightlife is two breweries close by. The coaster is pretty close to take you downtown or up north though. Not too many "real" restaurants in the area, mostly fast food. Plus shopping I'd suggest going down the road to Mira Mesa. Not an area to expect a full time job or even part time jobs that will work their schedules around each other to help you out. There's a bit of a drive to get to the beach or entertainment. Enjoy the high gas prices! Read Less
