San Carlos, Florida has been my home for the last 12 and overall I have enjoyed my life here. The area is actually a suburb of the Fort Meyers area. Since this area is a suburb, you get a small-town feel, but are still close enough to larger areas to find what you need. The only draw-back is that being that it is in a great area, that the housing prices are constantly increasing, while the average wage is staying stagnant.
Living in San Carlos, Florida will give you plenty pf opportunities for recreation. The best areas in San Carlos, Florida are the recreational areas. You are extremely close to the beach, which will give you tons of chances to fish or sunbathe.
