I lived in Russellville briefly, and in all honesty, it wasn't a particularly great city. At first glance, the cheap real estate might seem attractive but once you dig a little deeper, you won't be super impressed.

the closest major city is over an hour away, commuting for either work or school isn't much of an option. On the other hand, there are enough places to handle your shopping in Russellville without having to venture far. The Walmart Supercenter can let you get a lot of it done in one place.
You won't find much in the way of decent restaurants either. While the city has a lot of public parks, it doesn't have any kind of public transit system, so you'll need your own car to get around. If you don't mind a small, quiet city, then Russellville might not be the worst choice for you.
