It isn't a very large city, but considering the population of Wyoming as a whole, it is decent-sized.

Rock Springs has an okay housing market, and is decently culturally diverse. The public school system is in slow decline however, which is likely due to the city's isolation from other communities. It is worth noting that after visiting Rock Springs, I had virtually no cell phone service throughout most of the city. And locations with WiFi were hard to find. So, if you're traveling through Rock Springs and relying on your phone for a map, make sure you research ahead of time where you're going as broadband internet is still relatively new for the people of Wyoming.

Overall, Rock Springs is a decent place to raise a family and buy a home, especially if you're looking for a more mountainous and rural life away from the rest of the world's more urban hassles. Read Less
