DON'T MOVE HERE! Richland Center is pretty on the surface but there's a lot of ugly underneath. We don't even have a grocery store (RED FLAG)!! Two middle/elementary schools have closed in the last couple years. The high school is known to be problematic to the point some parents ...Read More
send their kids elsewhere or home-school. City leadership appears dispassionate and has little respect from city residents. Looking back to childhood days in the 80's, RC was a bustling town. Today, after years of consistent population loss, it's dying a slow and painful death, and is one major business closure away from becoming a ghost town. If you want a REAL quality life in a REAL progressive small town, choose Viroqua. It has its act together on all levels. If you want to live in a sleepy/boring retirement town that's very redneck, cliquey, and political, then RC is indeed for you! There's nothing to keep people here - so many have left or want to. Never forget: Beauty is only skin deep.
