Cute Small Town User Rating 4 rating By Matthew_4 ( Mar 31, 2015) Poolesville is a charming town! The small town is in Montgomery County, Maryland. The county's school system is one of the best in the country, so the schools are very good. The crime in Poolesville is rare to none. There are many restaurants but there are no commercial/shopping ...Read More areas within the town. Poolesville is isolated from the busy and growing Urban Area of Gaithersburg, Germantown, Rockville, Bethesda and the Washington D.C. metropolitan area by farms. The town is less than twenty minutes away from the two-lane traffic streets and commercial areas. Poolesville is located about 10 minutes away from the Potomac River, which has a lot of things to do. Most of the houses in Poolesville are single-family, with a few town homes. The weather in winter has some snow, and hot summers. Read Less
