Worst Place I've Ever Lived User Rating 0.5 rating By Anonymous ( Apr 08, 2020) STAY AWAY FROM DROMEDARY DRIVE! There are houses for sale and rent on this street for a reason!

Neighbors play loud music anytime-day or night, weekend or weekday. And they get rude, irate, confrontational, and belligerent when peace is kindly requested of them.

Incesstantly b
...Read More arking dogs, from neighbors' back yards and open garage doors, start early most mornings.

4 hours of engine revving starts around 10am about 4 or 5 days a week.

And finally you get the pleasure of closing the day with 4 wheelers zooming through your back yard as you try to enjoy a movie with your family.

Outside of the neighborhood, traffic is insane. It's over Crowded with the whole population using the same handful of streets to get to and fro.

Dangerous drivers zoom in, cutting you off, just to get ahead before a lane ends.

Insanely loud music plays at nearly every traffic light. It drowns out your own music and makes you a victim to what seems to be an eternity of garbage music while at the traffic light.

It's a real circus out here! I hope this served as a detailed warning for Decent people seeking to exercise their Right to Peaceful Enjoyment of their homes. Read Less
Poinciana Has Blossomed! User Rating 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( Mar 10, 2015) Poinciana is one of the Central Florida towns I lived near as a preteen and adolescent. The area has grown considerably since I resided there in the early 1970's and has become much more ethnically diverse. Although my home was in a different section of Kissimmee, I was very fami ...Read More liar with the planned community going up around the Poinciana Golf and Racquet Club because my father worked there as a subcontractor. We had moved to the area because it was near the newly opened Disney World and expected to enjoy a population boom that would greatly increase property value. Unexpectedly, the growth happened a little farther north and didn't expand to Osceola and Polk Counties for many years. When people finally started to move there, however, they came by the thousands. I live in a small town just north of Orlando now, and I am amazed when I go back and see how populated it is today.

The location is ideal for trips to the Orlando theme parks and the beach. The Atlantic coast and the Gulf of Mexico are both less than two hours away. Since Poinciana is mostly residential, the immediate area is limited to a few fast food restaurants and discount stores. The surrounding localities offer a wider variety of eating and shopping choices and are not far away. Haines City, for example, is within fifteen miles. Along with the rapid growth in Osceola County since the turn of the millennium have come many new job opportunities. Some residents continue to work in the Orlando area and will benefit from the completion of the Poinciana Parkway. It will provide quicker access to I-4 and is already raising the value of the homes. Plans are also in the works to expand Orlando's SunRail commuter system to the neighborhood.

Central Florida's climate is subtropical with mild winters and long, hot summers. Temperatures can easily reach the high 90's during the sweltering months of July and August. Fortunately, backyard swimming pools are common and multiple water parks are open all year. In spite of the heat, I enjoy living in Greater Orlando. I love being close to so many sources of entertainment while still having the option to see the countryside. A drive along the Florida Turnpike that runs east of Poinciana reminds me that plenty of undeveloped land still exists in the central portion of the Sunshine State! Read Less
