Living in Pleasant Grove, AL puts you under an hour from Tuscaloosa and just a little over an hour from Talladega. The area is surrounded with other nice, rustic, and forested towns.

but you don't need to look outside of town to enjoy the beauty of the area. The homes are beautiful, and Rock Creek spills a refreshing kiss of life throughout the city.
In the spring and summer, the trees are a great comfort. Shade is vital, but it stands out even more in a growing city where the concrete is starting to take over. The shade and greenery helps to prevent excess heat from reflecting from the roads and parking lots.
To know the difference and how much it matters, go to a Walmart or other big box store on a hot day and feel the different between that and a green downtown area. Alabama doesn't have much breeze outside of stormy conditions, but the benefits of expansive greenery are obvious.
