The housing market is not very good with property taxes and home prices rising substantially, to the point of where homeowners are once again starting to move out of the city and the houses are being rented to lower-income families.

The shopping, dining and overall entertainment scene in Park Forest is virtually nonexistent with most restaurants being franchises and there being no mall or really any fun place to go.
