Oxford, Ohio: Small Town, Big University 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) I lived in Oxford, Oh for 4 years, and it was a mixed bag. Miami University occupies a large part of the city and frequently hosts many interesting speakers and events. But, it also comes with a college students who are fond of drinking and house parties. There is a good range of ...Read More restaurants, both local owned and some chains giving a wide variety of eating choices I will definitely miss eating at Bagel and Deli. And the campus is absolutely beautiful with lots of gardens and even some hiking trails. Oxford is also only seven miles from Huston Woods, one of the best areas in the city. It has lots of great outdoor spaces.
If you like the college town atmosphere, it would be hard to beat Oxford. I rented a place in the city, and found that I did not like all of the night life activity. On the weekends and quite a few week days, the bars are over run with drunk people, and Green Beer Day was a complete drunken mess. Read Less
