I've lived in Highland Terrace next to the Manzanita Community Center for almost 5 years. It's a diverse neighborhood, and a lot of the neighbors are friendly. Lots of people growing food in their yard, many have dogs, some cats/chickens. I've been seeing more and more young fami ...Read More
lies walking their babies/dogs over the few years we've been here and it's been pretty easy to get to know neighbors. Though we do get the typical crime that Oakland sees, it feels like a pretty quiet neighborhood. I love the walking distance to Dimond District and also the proximity to food along fruitvale.
