Devoid of life 0.5 rating By Anonymous ( Oct 26, 2020) There's not much to do in Norwalk. If you like hard drugs/drinking at dive bars, working in low-paid factory jobs, this town is for you. If not, the only "nightlife" you'll enjoy is Walmart & Taco Bell. From the day you arrive you'll be looked at as if you're an extraterrestrial, ...Read More especially if you are not white. There is no affordable public transportation, if you don't live within a couple miles of Walmart then you're in for a hike to wherever you're trying to eat/shop for, and some sidewalks/roads are dangerous-they don't like to stop for pedestrians. You could also live in the 4 block "downtown" area, but enjoy whatever new restaurant pops up before it closes up within months. If you like chain restaurants/pizza places-Norwalk has way too many of them. Walmart/Aldi are it for groceries, there's 2 other grocery stores but they're overpriced. Nobody gets shot here, but there's theft & a shockingly high amount of sex offenders (they like to hang out at the Reservoir park so that's not safe), and you will get pulled over for tiny things. Rent is too high for what the town offers. If you're LGBT, there's not too many here that are "out". If you're just independently wealthy or retired (because low-paid/hard factory jobs) then you might enjoy bird-watching in this sleepy little town. That is if you're in good health because the hospital isn't the greatest, and mental health-forget it. Just really do your research, a bit north is a small city called Sandusky-that's where life is-a mall, restaurants, Cedar Point, etc. If you're still needing a small town, Milan is a cute quiet town that's even closer to Sandusky than Norwalk is, so you can live in Milan/work in Sandusky fairly easily. You Will Be Happy Living In Norwalk, OH 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) Norwalk, Ohio is one of those little places you always wish you could find to move to, raise a family, get to know all the neighbors, and just live a peaceful life. We've been living in Norwalk ever since we got married 11 years ago, and that's exactly what we've found here. We w ...Read More anted a place where the schools were good so our children could get a good education, where there wasn't a lot of crime, where the neighbors were friendly and caring, with beautiful countryside to just enjoy. Settling into a good job was easy, and we found a great little house right away.

We are in one of the best areas in this part of the state because we are close to Sandusky, so we have lots of fun things to do and great places to visit: There's Great Wolf Lodge, Cedar Point amusement park, Summit Motorsports Park, the Edison Birthplace Museum, and the Great Lakes Science Center, which the kids love ALMOST as much as Cedar Point!
