North Valley Stream--I Like It Here 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 10, 2018) I have been living in North Valley Stream for 15 years. I find this place to be very diverse and inclusive. I am a Jamaican American who moved here from Queens to provide my children with the opportunity to attend better schools in the suburbs. I feel very safe in this neighborho ...Read More od, and the pace of the neighborhood is slower than where I moved from. I live within close proximity to various business districts in Valley Stream, including Green Acres and those along Merrick Road. I also live near Franklin Square, where there are more business districts. I have long list of conveniently located places that I can go for groceries.

North Valley Stream is also very close to Queens, I have many more options of stores and venues to go to. I am in very close proximity to New York City, as well as all of the bars an venues in the Valley Stream and the surrounding neighborhoods.

The only bad thing that I have to say is that the house taxes can be a real pain. Read Less
