Review North Richland Hills
NRH is close to the things you need to get to in other cities

NRH is OK. We've lived here a long time. It's fairly conveniently located if you work in the northern half of Tarrant County. Because it's surrounded by other cities, pretty much anything you need is within reasonable driving distance. NRH's best qualities are relatively low crim ...Read More
e, quiet neighborhoods, and an abundance of parks and walking trails. Tarrant County College, a good two-year school, has a campus here. We have some great neighbors who know what's going on in the neighborhood and watch out for our kids, and we have a few neighbors who don't want to have anything to do with people.
There are really only two or three attractions, most notably NRH20, which is good but is overpriced for its size, and a couple of miniature golf courses. (Unless you consider a shopping mall an attraction.) But there are lots of attractions in nearby Fort Worth and Dallas. The selection of restaurants within the city is pretty limited, though the situation improves if you're willing to drive 20 to 30 minutes into neighboring cities. The Birdville Independent School District is very inconsistent from school to school -- there are some schools with excellent leaders and policies in place, but also some schools with bad ones. The middle school and high school our oldest daughter went to pretty much killed her love for school and education, but we were able to get our younger daughter into a middle school in the same district that's much, much better. One great thing about living here is that if your kid graduates high school in Birdville ISD, they can go to Tarrant County College for two years with free tuition before moving on to a bigger school -- a significant financial benefit to living here if you have kids and want to minimize their college debt.
So it has its advantages and disadvantages. They say people vote with their feet, and we haven't moved after living here many years, which says something.

North Richland Hills is an affluent suburb located just north of Fort Worth and my job brought me to this city nearly 10 years ago. Over the years, I've become increasingly thankful for the people that live in North Richland Hills. I've made more close friends here in North Richl ...Read More
and Hills than I had in my original hometown and in just a few years, I felt like I knew everyone in the community. When people ask me where I'm from, I'm proud to say I'm from North Richland Hills rather than my original hometown of Houston. All Texans are renowned for their southern hospitality and North Richland Hills residents have made my family feel as if we have lived here our entire lives.
If you are looking for activities in North Richland Hills, you don't have drive around town very much to find something to do. Since it can get very hot here in Texas, one of the community's favorite hangouts is the NRH20 Family Water Park. The water park is perfect if you have children that need to go expend some energy on a hot summer day. Mountasia is an adventure park that I typically take my kids to when they deserve a day out. Mountasia has arcade games, miniature golf, batting cages and go carts. All in all, I have to say that North Richland Hills has been an excellent place for me and my family to live. I'd recommend anyone looking for a friendly place to live to move to North Richland Hills.
