North Amityville - Convenient and Affordable 3 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) North Amityville is a lot more affordable than the rest of the town and then surrounding towns like Massapequa and Farmingdale. It also has a lot of commercial businesses on Route 110 and Sunrise Highway, which has helped to cut down on the property taxes.

Route 110 has a lot of ...Read More quality restaurants as well. Brooklyn Fish and Chips is in North Amityville and has great fish and chips. In addition, there is a Jamaican restaurant, Golden Crust, which has cheap and convenient food.

North Amityville is right next to the Sunrise Mall and has some convenient shopping options there.

While North Amityville does not have the best school district, the affordable nature of the school district makes the town attractive to many. There is also an LIRR stop that allows you to commute into Manhattan for work on the Babylon branch.

Life on Long Island wouldn't be complete without beach access. While North Amityville is not right on the water, it is convenient to many beaches and a great option for beach lovers. Read Less
