If you don't have a Vehicle do not plan to go far, Newton has one cab Service that closes after 4pm with no transportation possibilities when the 2:45 Amtrak comes in at night. After the Amtrak station Closes your only option to a rest room is at the truck stop on 1st street, Th ...Read More
e grocery stores close at 11pm giving you the Truck Stop your only choice, Most of the people that live here will not talk to you if you are a stranger or have a different accent. But after they get to know you you in a three year time you may have 3-4 people in your circle, The crime rate here is very high compared to the rest of Kansas, You have access to the Amtrack which will take you fioirst to Hutch (Hutchinson) home of the Kansas State Fair, then to Dodge City, Home of the Casinos a Cowboy Town and then to Garden City, The paradise of Kansas, Dorothy would live here if given the oportunity. You need to be living in Wichita if you don't have a car, they recently closed the Dollar General which gives residents little choice or convenience in Shopping, they do have a Walmart which also closes at 11pm or Midnight, Dont move here unless you have family in this area.
