Newman - A Small Urban Town 2.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) Newman is an average urban town in northern California, just to the east of the Interstate-5 freeway. This is a very average town that doesn't really stand out in comparison to other big name towns on the west coast.

As far as what I think is good about Newman, I think the wea ...Read More ther is nice at all times of the year. I also think this region is relatively isolated and safe for families and kids. The school districts are very average, and there are probably better alternatives. There really isn't a lot to do in Newman, considering that it is kind of in the middle of nowhere.

There isn't much of a nightlife in this region on the west coast, and you'd have to travel to a denser city with more restaurants and nights clubs for any excitement in that regard. This is a small urban city that really doesn't differentiate itself from some of the more respected towns in this area. Read Less
