Natchez, MS - An "Island" of Beauty 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) Natchez is like an "island" of beauty packed with nature preserves, parks and located near the Mississippi River. We have a good selection of restaurants and coffee houses. The National Historic Park is one of the best places to sightsee, hike, ride a bike and relax and enjoy nat ...Read More ure. In addition, we have several parks with nice equipment.

Employment options in the area are limited. I have to travel over 30 minutes for my job, but the traffic is not bad as we have a few interstates that run through Natchez. The best thing about Natchez are the people, southern hospitality and the number of amenities we have. One of my favorite place to eat is Smoot's Grocery Blues Lounge. I love the live music and the food is delicious.

Although Natchez is a family-friendly town, the schools need improvement. We do have private school options to choose from but my children attend public school. The elementary schools are not bad, but the high school needs improvement. Read Less
