Mount Dora has been my home my whole life and I feel so grateful to be raised in such an amazing place. This beautiful area in central Florida is right near the fun theme parks and tourist attractions. Living in Mount Dora, I have so many memories of my friends and I going to the theme parks growing up. My family are huge Disney fanatics so I grew up on everything Disney! I'm sure it is every child's dream to grow up next to The Happiest Place on Earth. We live about 40 minutes from all of the Orlando theme parks. Living in Mount Dora the weather is absolutely beautiful! It is always nice and warm, which is perfect because I have never liked the cold. The traffic can get a little bit heavy at times due to the theme parks being such a close distance away, but I still wouldn't trade living here for the world! The best areas in Mount Dora have to be the beautiful parks and the downtown area. The city has many lovely parks, but my favorite would have to be Trimble Park. The park has so many fun walking trails and camp grounds. The downtown area of Mount Dora is filled with interesting antique shops like Village Antique Mall. Village Antique Mall is huge and filled with so many fun and interesting antiques; I can literally be in there for hours! There is so much to do around the Mount Dora area that anyone moving to the here will never be bored. I love this beautiful city that I grew up in and can't imagine my life anywhere else!
