Moline, IL City Review User Rating 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( Jul 22, 2015) I have lived in and around Moline, Illinois for several years in the past and it truly is a great place to live. The city is divided into a handful of neighborhoods through natural barriers, due to the fact that there are great deals of ravines that run through the city. Moline s ...Read More its on the West borderline of the state of Illinois and lies on the river, which is great if you enjoy the outdoors and like to fish.

Although other parts in the general area may have some increased crime rate, Moline is a pretty safe place and typically has lower crime rates than the rest of the state of Illinois. It goes without saying that the area is cold during the winter and it stays that way for a very long time, which some people cannot deal with, but a lot of people find enticing. The city is medium sized, with just under fifty thousand people in the city limits, but there is over one hundred thousand in the metropolitan area. There are decent restaurants in the area and you can definitely find a great place to eat throughout the city, although the nightlife is pretty much mediocre.

Overall this is a great place to raise a family, especially if you want to be in an area that has all the amenities of a larger city but is not caught up in all the hustle and bustle that city life brings. If you are living in the mid-west and are looking for a place that is very laid back, yet has most of the entertainment that most people are looking for, you may want to consider checking out Moline and consider moving to the area.
