If Mint Hill can keep out Big Box, hire a designer that knows how to build a small (full of unique character) downtown and does NOT let in Cookie Cutter Developments build, it will be a cute small area. It is, however, ideal for folks looking for an affordable city in which to settle down or retire.

You also will find limited options for shopping, recreation, and restaurants. The downtown area has a few places, but you might be driving to neighboring towns to find everything you need. The residents here are very friendly though, and I always appreciated that. Mint Hill Veterans Memorial Park is a relaxing and beautiful place to visit in town, and I personally think it's the best area in Mint Hill. Overall, it is a very nice small southern city. Read Less
