Milwaukie, OR a Quiet Place to Live User Rating 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) I love living in Milwaukie, OR. It's conveniently located in between several thoroughfares so you can get anywhere you want easily. As a mom, I'm so glad that the schools are amazing, and that the community is so helpful. When my foster-daughter came home, the whole neighborhood ...Read More brought over donations of new clothes and school supplies for her.

The town is beautiful and runs right alongside the Kellogg River. The town is a combination of old houses and buildings and some newer, bigger houses. Unlike the neighboring Clackamas area, there is not a large homeless population sleeping on the streets. The restaurants are great! Milwaukie, OR is full of little mom and pop shops and restaurants.

The nightlife isn't really that great but it is a close drive to downtown Portland which has all the night time action you could want. Milwaukie, OR has some great little shops. One of the coolest comic book shops is in Milwaukie. They have life size replicas of Alien and Preditor in movie quality materials.

Milwaukie is a great place to live. It's quiet, close to everything I could need, and great schools for my children. I couldn't have picked a better community. Read Less
