Millbrae: More Than a City Close to the Airport User Rating 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 10, 2018) Millbrae is probably most well known to the average person as a place to stay that's close to the airport, but there's more than meets the eye. The best thing about living here is the weather. It's a Mediterranean type climate. Winters are cool and wet and summers are mild. Foggy ...Read More mornings and evenings are common here. It creates a distinct atmosphere. There are a number of beach parks around. They're great for relaxing and getting away from the buzz of the city. I'm really glad I raised my kids here. The school system is among the top 3 in all of the San Francisco Bay Area.

If you like food, this is a great place to live. It's full of great restaurants. If you like chocolate, head down to Ghiradelli Square. You've known you've found the Ghiradelli chocolate factory when you start to see a lot of smiling people eating sundaes with chocolate sauce. Practically any world cuisine you crave can be found within this radius—Chinese, Italian, Vietnamese, Greek, and Mexican. The seafood is excellent here. My favorite seafood place is Moonraker. I recommend getting there in time to overlook the Pacific sunset. There are great views there. Read Less
