Miami, OK is a Nice Place to Call Home! 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) I would definitely rate Miami, Oklahoma as one of the best areas in Oklahoma to live. The only thing is that the housing market is just a little low at this time. Finding a decent place to live can be a challenge. But there aren't enough jobs to go around, and that helps a lot, c ...Read More onsidering that in many places there just are no jobs to be had these days. Other than that this place has it all excellent schools, a very low crime rate, some really incredible citizens, beautiful neighborhoods in beautiful homes that reflect the pride of the people who live their.

There are some pretty great activities around these parts as well. There's the Route 66 Vintage Iron Museum, Mickey Mantle's Childhood Home which I still enjoy touring even after living in Miami for 5 years, the Baxter Springs Historical Museum, and Firehouse Pottery. Miami is a great place to raise a family, for young couples just starting out, or anyone who just wants a peaceful, nice place to live. Read Less
