Coral Way Miam,i FL Neighborhood Review User Rating 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( Jun 10, 2014) Coral Way is perhaps one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Florida. I have been living in the Coral Way neighborhood for about 10 years now, and I wouldn't change anything about my surroundings. I do live in an apartment. If possible, consider getting a house if you plan to ...Read More move to the area. My apartment building is very nice with plenty of room and a pool, but the prices are outrageous. You can sometimes find people who are subletting their apartments at reduced prices if you only plan to be in one for a short amount of time.

I live in the middle of the neighborhood, so I have a good view of the city. There are trees surrounding the area, but they don't block my view of the office buildings and shopping centers. One of the reasons I moved to the area is because of the beaches. I also like going to the Daytona 500, and the racetrack is in close proximity to where I live. Something I look forward to every year is the Calle Ocho Music Festival. This is an opportunity to hear a variety of local musicians with a down to earth feel for music. It's a great family event, and there are numerous food vendors. Shenandoah Park is somewhere I like to go when I want to play tennis. This is more of a park for adults to walk and play sports, but it is suitable for children who are older. One of the areas to stay away from is Simpson Park. It is overgrown with trees and shrubs, and it looks as though it hasn't been taken care of compared to some of the others in the neighborhood.

My favorite place to visit in Coral Way is the Miami Museum of Science and Space. There is a large planetarium that has shows that change through the year. Since I enjoy science, this is somewhere I go frequently. The prices are a little high for the number of exhibits that are offered, but if you like space and science, then it's somewhere to at least try one time. Read Less
