You are in a nice spot without many of the big city aggravations but have access to all the things that make living in a city worth it. Fill the days with shopping festivals and barbeques. Tourist love to visit the area so there is always plenty to keep residents and visitors busy.

I moved to Cordova from Houston, Texas a few years ago and have never given it another thought. It is located close to populated areas, so I find it sophisticated and down home at the same time. I personally like hustle of the city but I enjoy the quiet suburban get away as well. The diversified lifestyle makes a person love living in the Cordova-Appling's suburban community. Memphis is not given the best reputation. Nevertheless, as with all big cities, crime is concentrated in spots and Cordova-Appling is one of the safest places in the area to live.

People in Cordova visit the farmers market, watch high school football and enjoy the simple pleasures of the Woodruff Pie shop. The community is busy with work, but the lazy days are uniquely pleasant. If you decide to move to the area, city taxes are a little steep, but if you live on the east end of Cordova taxes are a little less of an expense. This is the Germantown sector. I love the terrain and the great climate. Cordova- Appling is particularly nice during the holidays. Tennessee traditions permeate through the area and present a very friendly lifestyle. Upon seeing the area for the first time, I had no problem with making it my home. It is a growing community, close enough to theaters, and grocery stores to be convenient, yet cozy enough to be private.
