Living in the Charming Community of Medford, MA User Rating 4 rating By Anonymous ( Jan 30, 2012) Medford, Massachusetts is a city located near Boston. I have lived in Medford for five years, and I cannot imagine living anywhere else. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the scenery is beautiful. I enjoy spending time at Wrights Pond, where I love to fish. Other activities that yo ...Read More u can do at the pond include swimming and hiking. It is also a great place for a picnic. In addition, there are so many things to do in the city. You can visit Amelia Earhart's house, or see the Civil War prints at the Medford Historical Society. If you have children who are getting ready to go to college, Medford is home to Tufts University.

One of the downsides to living in Medford is that the cost of living is higher than other areas of the country. However, the friendly people and hospitable atmosphere make up for the high cost. If you are relocating to Medford, there are many excellent homes for sale in the area. The average price of a home is $350,000. The violent crime rate in Medford is lower than the state average; however, the number of property crimes is a little higher. The city also has an excellent school system that my kids have loved.

You can find many excellent dining opportunities in the city. Because seafood is my favorite, I love Moulton's Seafood Restaurant. The prices are affordable, and the food is delicious. The town also has a variety of Italian and Chinese restaurants. Medford is a booming community that is rich with history. I have loved living in this city, and I look forward to the years ahead.
