A better place? User Rating 2.5 rating By DoOrDieSimperfi ( Feb 16, 2016) I am from Wellington Kansas in the housing in Wellington was outrageous compared to Marshall but if you factor in property tax expense of living in other areas it averages out to be exactly the same in as a kid I always like coming to Missouri we would go two trips when I was you ...Read More nger to Table Rock Lake in Branson but people in Wellington Kansas we're stuck up came from money and I lived there my whole life and I never fit in and I always thought that the people in Missouri or more friendly until I move to Marshall Missouri and after living here for 6 months I have no friends to speak of and everyone acts exactly the same way in Marshall as they did in Wellington and at least where I was from it was very close to Wichita and I was in aircraft and had availabilities for job opportunities there in here there is no jobs to speak of that are related to my field in metals it would be great if I had a CDL and was a truck driver but I have no desire to sit behind the wheel for 8 hours every day and never be home with my family so I have to drive to Kansas City everyday or 5 days a week to work if you are considering moving to Marshall Missouri I definitely think it over very seriously it is not a friendly town or a place to fit in very easily if you are an outsider and if you are from Kansas do not tell anyone here that you are from Kansas they will literally stop talking to you and walk off but as I was saying it is totally up to you but in my opinion this is not a town without bias or prejudice sincerely Lance Corporal cook Read Less
