You have the conveniences of a larger city along the highway and the quaint charms of a small town more towards the center of the city. Marquette is located on the beautiful Lake Superior (Michigan's northernmost great lake) and is home to Northe ...Read More rn Michigan University. Marquette public schools are well above average with an excellent student to teacher ratio, making sure each student is getting the most attention possible. There is so much to do in Marquette for all ages, especially if you're outdoorsy.

Marquette has endless amounts of hiking trails, canoeing and kayaking spots, places to go camping, places to go four-wheeling, and places to unwind and relax. Nightlife in Marquette is decent being that it is partially a college town. The real gem of Marquette though has to be the cliffs and rocky shoreline of the city's park known as "Presque Isle." This park has amazing rock formations and cliffs that are very popular with the locals during the summertime.

Overall, Marquette is an excellent choice for people of all ages, whether single or raising a family. Read Less
