What can I say? Marion does have some good qualities that give it merit. One of the most popular attractions here is the Granite Revolving Ball in Marion Cemetery. Definitely eerie. There's also the Harding Memorial, a beautiful piece of architecture and the final resting place of President Warren G. Hard ing and his wife. When it comes to nightlife there isn't a lot of that here. The Marion Palace Theater is always good for catching a show or a movie. Mostly this is a quiet town. Living in Marion, Ohio borders on being boring. Some people like that. There is something to be said for it compared to the fast life of the big city.
Families with school-age children who live here are happy with the Marion City Schools. Sadly, even the best areas in Marion are seeing an uptick in crime these days. It isn't nearly as bad as larger areas are seeing, but it is concerning. Basically, Marion is not a bad place to live. Better than the bigger cities and still a smaller community, which makes it nice.
