Great Family Life In Madison Heights, V.A. 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) I moved out to Madison Heights after living in Lynchburg, V.A. for years. I still work in Lynchburg but it is just minutes away as a commute on the other side of the James River. Madison Heights has local shopping as well as being so close to Lynchburg, you have can find what you ...Read More need. The town has a main strip for the shopping area and the countryside is lovely. Cost of living is low, but not a lot of new housing development.

There are excellent education system and schools here. This is a great place to raise a family. If you like North Carolina style bar-b-que, there is a great place on the main drag. We have a public transit (bus) system, so those who don't want to drive can get around. Nate's Produce sells farm fresh produce. There is a local gym for those who like to workout. The weather is mainly mild year round but can become humid in the summertime. Read Less
