Lyons, Illinois: Updated and Growing User Rating 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 28, 2018) I love living in Lyons, Illinois. This is a suburb of Chicago and it is quickly growing. The town has recently had tons of upgrades including freshly paved streets, new parks and recreational fields, and a new police department. The crime rate in this area is very low and it is v ...Read More ery seldom that you hear of a violent crime occurring in this village.

The best areas in Lyons, Illinois include the local schools. My son attends Central Elementary School and he loves it. They are up to date on the latest technology. In addition, the building itself appears to be fairly modern.

There is a ton of history in this area. So, if you are a history buff, there is a lot to learn about in this area. The people here are extremely friendly. Everyone greets everyone and if you need help, then someone will be able to give you a hand with whatever you need. I plan on staying here in this community for years to come and can’t wait to see how great it becomes as the upgrades continue. Read Less
