Loves Park, IL: Small Town America at It's Best

Loves Park, Illinois is a nice small town located just outside of Rockford, Illinois and only a a few hours from Chicago. The city has a great public school system and is a safe community that is well-policed. In general, Loves Park is more of a rural community without many of the conveniences you'd find in places like Rockford or the suburbs of Chicago. The housing market is excellent with inexpensive homes and reasonable property taxes. Shopping and nightlife in Loves Park definitely leaves something to be desired, but being that it is so close to Rockford it usually isn't a problem for most people looking to have fun. The overall climate and weather of Loves Park is the same as the rest of the state of Illinois or the Midwest in general. The winters can be brutally cold and snowy and the summers unforgivably hot and humid. Autumn is generally the favorite season due to all of the bright and warm colors produced by the trees that line the streets and surrounding rural areas.
