Los Alamitos - Fun, Safe, and Exciting! 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) The city of Los Alamitos is a medium sized suburb of Los Angeles. This is a great neighborhood for all types of families, including ones with kids that are going to school. The city's school districts are among the highest rated in the entire region.

The houses in this area are priced at an average level for California real estate markets, and there are also many opportunities to rent in this area. As far as crime is concerned, the neighborhood is relatively safe, but there are some areas that it is better to avoid, just to be extra safe.

The Los Alamitos Horse Race Track is always a fun attraction if you are looking for a night out with the family, with the opportunity to be on horse races on most weekend nights. There are great restaurants around the track as well if you are interested in a dinner meal afterwards. Read Less
