I was born and raised in Longwood and cannot imagine being raised anywhere else! Living in Longwood definitely has its perks because it is only 40 minutes northeast of Disney World. My parents have always been huge fans of the Disney Wor ...Read More ld theme parks so I grew up on all things Disney. While I often feel it was a huge blessing being raised right next to one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States, there are some downsides. The traffic in Longwood can definitely get pretty backed up due to the city being so close to Disney. Tourists are coming and going around the area left and right.

The best areas in Longwood are probably the beautiful parks and preserves. I love to go kayaking at Wekiwa Springs State Park. When I am looking for awesome places to hike I often go to Spring Hammock Preserve. They have some of the most beautiful trails!

Longwood will always be my home sweet home and the place where I have so many memories. There is never any shortage of things to see and do around the area. The best part is I can look forward to making new memories for years to come in the beautiful Sunshine State! Read Less
