      I used to live here
It’s nice. One of the few places without bull poop. I like it there. But remember IT’S COLD! But there’s nothing really bad about it.

Suburban Living Closer to the City
Libertyville, Illinois is a far north suburb of Chicago. The housing market in Libertyville is great, being that house prices are low and property taxes remain more reasonable than what you'd find living in Chicago. Employment prospects are good, with many corporate centers nearby. Shopping, dining and nightlife are decent, though the closest mall is a short drive away in Gurnee.

The weather in Libertyville is comparable to that of the rest of the Midwest with summers being oftentimes hot and humid, while winters are generally very cold with a lot of precipitation. It is worth noting as well that the city of Libertyville is subject to tornadoes during the spring and summer months, increasing the risk of damage to houses for those looking to settle down.

Overall, Libertyville is a nice place to live. The community is well-policed and safe, and it is a great choice for those looking to raise a family, or those who simply want to settle down in a location with cheaper options than Chicago but want to remain close to the city.
