in the best time record. I LOVE being in the middle of all towns/places I go often. I work downtown and would never live there , it only takes me 20 mins. Kc is too busy for me. Lenexa has the most greenery and landscaping compared to other kc towns, the most parks, the most churches, and less traffic. I have lived here 5 years. We have a beautiful city expansion westward. Olathe is horrible: traffic and kids. OP: too much retail, rude ppl, congested & crammed & awful highway access (have you seen rush hour?). Leawood: old. Downtown: noisy & crime.

I am new to the Lenexa, KS area as I have only been here for about two years after moving from Maine. I live in an apartment, and while there are some positive things about the city, there are also just as many negative aspects. It seems like there are sirens going by the buildin ...Read More
g at all times since the department is near the complex. If you are looking for an apartment, consider finding one that is in a gated community so that you feel a little more secure.
One of the things I like to do is walk on the trails at Sar-Ko-Par Park. This is a park that features paddle boats and other activities for the family or for those who like to be outdoors. There are special events held at the park through the year, including a BBQ festival that features delicious food. Lake Lenexa is another favorite, but I like water so I try to find places where I can swim or at least stick my feet in the water. There is a gorgeous fountain in the center of the lake and beautiful small trails to walk along for viewing the plants in the park. There are quite a few hotels in the city, some of them that seem a little outdated. Restaurants in the city serve food that is filling. It's not uncommon to walk down the street to see a business that serves a large steak and a baked potato. This is the typical meal that you would get when you eat out. There are a few BBQ restaurants that serve chopped meats and ribs. Lenexa is a city that takes some adjustment to after you move there, but once you're there, you can often find your place among everyone else.
