I live in northern Virginia currently. Every year for the past 19 years, I have visited Leesburg, VA twice a year. The purpose of my visit was to explore the outlet malls, stay in the local bed and breakfasts, visit the restaurants, as well as walk around Leesburg's old town. Wha ...Read More
t I found is that Leesburg is one of the nicest places to live through the offered amenities as well as the cost of housing. Though there are many upsides to living in this area, there are some downsides such as the weather as well as the cost of living.
Every time I have visited Leesburg, I have had nothing bad to say about the amenities that are offered. Every morning from my hotel room, I was able to easily walk down to a local coffee shop and purchase a piece of shortbread with a cup of coffee. Did I mention that their coffee is to die for. When reading the local newspaper, I also discovered that the housing options that are offered in Leesburg are excellent. The housing options, if one can afford them are pricy yet worth the money that you would have paid for. The median home price is around 300,000 dollars, which although sounds expensive, is worth the buy due to the great neighborhood as well as the offered amenities.
Though there are many excellent reasons to living in Leesburg, I will not lie when saying that there are some downsides. One of the downsides is the weather. If you have been to Virginia, you will understand that the weather in Virginia is not consistent. One day it can be snowing and the next day it can be 70 degrees. Another downside to living in Leesburg is that if you are looking to live here, yet do not have much money, you will not have the best time here. With that said, it is a good idea to have money before moving here.
