Visit or Move to Lee's Summit, MO 4 rating By Anonymous ( Aug 04, 2010) I currently live in Lee's Summit, MO. Lee's Summit is surrounded by major highways such as, 350, 291, and 50. Shopping centers, schools, and hospitals are readily accessible. The public school system is excellent. Since Lee's Summit is a big city with a population of over 80,000. ...Read More Therefore housing is variable and affordable. It's a great place to raise a family, that's why I moved here. We are also just 15 minutes away from the Arrowhead Stadium and The KC Royals stadium and about 45 minutes from KCI airport.

There are several different things to do and see in Lee's Summit. In the summer there are many nice water parks, sports compounds, lakes, museums, and golf courses. It's nice to walk around downtown Lee's Summit during the summer concerts. Just 25 minutes away there's the country club plaza, for camping you can drive about an hour to Smithville Lake. You can also go wine tasting at the Stonehaus Farm in Lee's Summit. I love going to Lake Latewona on a beautiful day and visit my one of my favorite restaurants Marina Grog and Galley. This is also a culturally diverse place. The options are many for families. Read Less
