Creepy racist vibes/high crime rate 1.5 rating By Anonymous ( Jun 12, 2019) I lived there for a year and left because being married to an Arab gives you dirty looks in public there (never saw one person of color either) and the neighbors are very crude and loud. Shopping at some of their local places made us feel like it was 1965 with their race relation ...Read More s. When shopping alone the people just seem generally rude. I have a very open personality and consider myself in between conservative and liberal so there is nothing about either of us that stands out except my husbands race. Also the crime rate there is insanely high for such a small town. Read Less

I'm Happy To Call Lawrenceburg, KY My Home 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 28, 2018) My family and I have been living in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky for about 22 years now and even though it may not be an absolutely perfect place, we love it here. The main complaints that I would have would be that the schools need some work to be more effective in teaching our childr ...Read More en, and there need to be more jobs and housing available. Other than that, we don't have much crime to worry about here, which is a blessing. The neighborhood and the people in them are just great. Everyone is like family and everyone treats everyone else with kindness and respect. That's what makes it such a good place to live.

There are some pretty neat things to do for fun around here as well. There's the Woodford Reserve Distillery, Rebecca-Ruth Candy where you can find all kinds of delicious homemade goodies, the Old Depot Farmers Market (which I personally love), Josephine Sculpture Park (another favorite of mine), and Lover's Leap Vineyards and Winery. We may not be too fancy here in Lawrenceburg, but we're happy, and that's what matters. Come see for yourself and stay awhile! Read Less
