I love Desert Shores User Rating 5 rating By Anonymous ( Jan 31, 2024) I love Desert Shores. I live here and it is 100% safe and beautiful. The neighbors are nice and friendly. I would highly recommend Desert Shores as one of the Top places to live in all of Las Vegas. You are close to everything, great shops, restaurants, entertainment and fan ...Read More tastic amenities especially having the 4 lakes to boat, fish, kayak, paddleboard or walk around. Living in Coastal communities all my life and moving to the desert Desert shores made for an easy transition with all of its amenities. I love it! Read Less
Fear & Loathing in Lost Vegas User Rating 0.5 rating By Anonymous ( Sep 18, 2020) I spent over 17 years in Vegas. Grew up here & moved away as any smart person would do... but was forced to come back after the Oregon fires burned my home & employer to the ground. This is a horrible place to raise children. My high school wouldn't allow us to bring backpacks to ...Read More class & we had to enter through a metal detector each morning. Living here as an adult is ideal if you're into the club scene. There's not a moment of peace anywhere in the valley. The only nature spots are Red Rock (20min from Vegas) & Mt. Charleston (45min from Vegas). Trash is everywhere you look, I mean literal garbage everywhere. Air & light pollution is terrible! The majority of people who live here are ghetto. The city isn't concerned with the well being of the residents, all they care about is tourist profits. If for some reason you have to move here, Henderson is the only safe area. Read Less
