Soooooo Welcoming User Rating 5 rating By jpbarnes ( Jan 30, 2013) I recently remarried and moved here from a local state full of nepotism. Lansdale and the entire state of Pennsylvania is a breath of fresh air! The business owners are welcoming and helpful, and though that would seem natural, It really wasn't for the town I came from. I love ho ...Read More w everything you may need from printing to shoe repair is right here in this town. I appreciate the "First Friday" celebrations and the concerts at White's Park. I enjoy the camaraderie among business owners and their eagerness to support each another. I am a member at the Lansdale YMCA and their staff makes every day a joy! I love thrift shopping and there are so many to choose from and depending on the day you shop you can find a bargain at either Salvation Army, Impact, 2nd Ave, Laurel's Loft, West Main Consignment shop, or the Lansdale Thrift Store. Lansdale part of the North Penn School district where I have substitute taught, and I am amazed at how well behaved the students are and how friendly the different staffs are. There are choices in private schools too! I couldn't begin to list them all without inadvertently leaving on out. The Montgomeryville Mall leaves much to be desired, but there is a Wegman's being built next to it and it's completion should be in 2013! I could go on forever, but on a final note I want to acknowledge the convenience of the Septa train and bus service....Lansdale is a great place to live. Read Less
