This highway runs around Washington D.C. into parts of Maryland and Virginia. Many workers use this highway for their commute. The jobs in Lanham are mainly local businesses and restaurants. There ar ...Read More e some big companies headquartered in the community, including Radio One and Shoppers Food Warehouse. Doctors Community Hospital also offers a lot of job opportunities.

Some of the best areas in Lanham are around Good Luck Road and Cipriano Road. Living in Lanham was peaceful, quiet and convenient. The cost of living is affordable and housing is available for singles and families in a variety of settings. The area schools are average and could use improvement in many areas. There is crime reported in the area from time to time, but some areas are more prone to certain offenses.

Amenities in Lanham and surrounding areas are plentiful. Shopping, dining, and nightlife are available within a 5 mile radius in all directions. Interstate 495, also known as the Capital Beltway, is a short distance from all areas of the community.
