Not Much To Say: Not Extravagant, But Not Bad 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 28, 2018) Living in Lakeland Highlands, FL is okay. Everything we have to offer sits just above average for the most part besides our cost of living and housing. Cost of living is pretty high considering everything is just basically average. Along with that, housing options are very slim d ...Read More ependent on how much you make and what you’re willing to settle for at a reasonable price for your budget.

Added to that, amenities options are extremely good, reliable, and affordable added to your high rent or mortgage. Crime rate isn’t the best but it’s certainly not the worst, especially for being down here in the south. Education opportunities are plentiful and test scores from the different schools are amazing. If you’re looking to raise a family or move your kids you’re going to be impressed with all of the wonderful education we have to offer. Last, but certainly not least, employment opportunities are right up there with education. The average for us females is around $35K but if you have a partner or roommate it makes the cost of living a bit easier to keep up with. Read Less
