I was relocated to Florida when my company needed a manager to head the division in our Tampa center. I was not too happy about living in the city, so my realtor showed me Lake Magdalene and I instantly fell in love. Living in Lake Magdalene is all about enjoying the peace and quiet of the west coast of Florida, just far enough away from work so I feel like I'm in another world.
The best areas in Lake Magdalene are the countless lakes and the close proximity to the Gulf of Mexico. Depending on tourist season, I have my choice of beaches from Seaside point all the way down to Siesta Key. Shopping is amazing on this side of Florida, with malls and outlets of every size up and down Interstate 75.
When the kids want to have fun, we can visit the zoo at Busch Gardens, or drive up I-4 and be to the Magic Kingdom, SeaWorld, or Universal Studios, in about an hour.
