Poorly Planned With Tons of Community Events

Lake in the Hill is one of those small towns outside of a major city that’s a mix of the strange and developing. Living in there, you quickly gather that there’s something weird about the people. For instance, one night while on a run, I noticed a sign on a house that read, “devoirce party here.” I also ran into a divorced couple that was still living togther, perhaps they were progressive, but it seemed strange to me.

The town overall is poorly planned, there’s an endless amount of traffic during the day, too many people on the road. There are unfinished subdivisions and shopping centers, some centers partially vacant as of late.

It’s been clear for years that the town is still recovering from the recession, there’s lots of drugs, and arrests as seen in the local newspaper. Drivers are often aggressive making that community all the more enjoyable. Outside of it being afforable day-to-day, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend to someone looking for a fresh start.
