Very conservative perspective leads to no progression and most peop ...Read More le seem to wear blinders. The ignorance is bliss type. This town is very black and white, literally and figuratively. Read the Hot Springs Sentinel headlines and it is obvious that crime runs rampant, and you are best to watch out for yourself. Finding healthy food anywhere is limited to the produce department in the grocery stores and making your own meals. The summers are too hot and very humid to enjoy the outdoors from June to mid September. When it snows it shuts EVERYTHING down for days. There is enough places to shop for everyday things, thank goodness for Amazon to fill in. You can go to Little Rock, if you want to drive, because heaven forbid we would want to invest in some public transportation; instead opting for bike trails. Between the weather and lack of fitness by the masses, public transportation to LR and the LR airport would have been a better ROI. The town tries to put on a good face. I can truly say I have interacted with so many wonderful people that are more then willing to do their part to keep the shiny side up. If you are willing to make compromises and depending on what you are willing to put up with you can make it here. Again, I have found the silver lining is the people that I have met and the true kindness found in their souls. That in itself is a reason to be grateful and enjoy this little piece of natures paradise. Read Less
