How Lake Forest Park Offers A Good Bedroom Community Experience 2.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) Lake Forest Park, WA is a bedroom community that lies about five miles north of Seattle. Living in Lake Forest Park gives people great access to Seattle while still being far enough away to not be in an urban area. The two main roads of Lake Forest Park are Hwy 104 and Hwy 522, which can both get pretty congested during the morning and evening commutes.

There are a number great parks in Lake Forest Park. My favorite one is Saint Edward State Park. It features a great play area for younger kids and some nice hiking on its eastern side which descends down to Lake Washington.

The Town Center is the main place to shop in Lake Forest Park. There is a great local bookstore, Third Place Books, some nice bakeries, a really good food court, and a QFC for grocery shopping. Read Less
