Caught in between homes, we had to get a room in Lake City for a few months. This is our experience.
The Good
1. The people are warm and sweet for the most part.
2. Hwy 90 has plenty of restaurants and hotels to choose from.

he peace.
2. Large populations of stray cats live around the dumpsters (@ Sonny's BBQ), so do the gopher rats (between Days Inn & Holiday Inn Express).
3. Motels are home to rat droppings and roaches NOT cockroaches, the nasty roaches that raid your kitchen.
4. Walmart and surrounding stores are usually low on inventory or have unuseful selections.
5. Did I mention the noise!? Mornings at 6 and evenings at 6 the thoughtful residents of Lake City greet you with the gift of noise with their muffler-less noise parades and races, up and down HWY 90 especially on Saturday nights.
Enjoy your stay.
